Initial Setup

This guide covers the initial setup process for new courier businesses on Courier Connect Systems. Follow these steps to configure your company profile and essential settings.

Overview

When Postage Logistics Group sets up your tenant, you'll receive admin credentials to access your Courier Connect Systems account. This guide will walk you through completing your initial configuration.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • ✅ Admin login credentials (provided by Postage Logistics Group)
  • ✅ Company information and details
  • ✅ Company logos in digital format (PNG or JPG recommended)
  • ✅ Policy documents URLs (if available)

Step 1: Login to Your Admin Account

  1. Navigate to your Courier Connect Systems login page
  2. Enter your admin username and password provided by Postage Logistics Group
  3. Click Sign In to access your admin dashboard

First-Time Login

You may be prompted to change your password on first login. Choose a strong, secure password that you'll remember.


Step 2: Access Settings

  1. From your Admin Dashboard, locate the navigation menu
  2. Click on Settings
  3. You'll be directed to the Settings overview page

Step 3: Configure General Settings

Navigate to General Settings to complete your company profile. This section contains four key areas that need to be configured.

A. Company Information Section

Complete all required fields in the Company Information section:

Required Fields:

  • Company Name - Your official business name
  • Business Registration Number - Your company's registration/tax ID
  • Contact Email - Primary email for business correspondence
  • Contact Phone - Main business phone number
  • Company Address - Physical business address including:
    • Street address
    • City/Parish
    • Postal code
    • Country

Optional Fields:

  • Website URL - Your company website
  • Description - Brief description of your courier services

Important

Ensure all contact information is accurate, as this will be used for customer communications and official correspondence.

B. Business Information Section

Configure your operational details:

Business Hours:

  • Set your standard operating hours for each day of the week
  • Define cutoff times for same-day deliveries
  • Configure holiday schedules

Service Areas:

  • List all parishes/regions you provide service to
  • Define delivery zones
  • Set service area boundaries

Operational Settings:

  • Default package handling time
  • Standard delivery timeframes
  • Weekend delivery availability
  • Holiday delivery options

C. Branding Section

Upload your company logos to customize the platform with your brand identity.

Required Logo Uploads:

  1. Primary Logo

    • Used in the main navigation and customer portal
    • Recommended size: 200x60 pixels (PNG with transparent background)
    • Maximum file size: 2MB
  2. Favicon

    • Small icon displayed in browser tabs
    • Recommended size: 32x32 pixels or 64x64 pixels
    • Format: ICO, PNG, or SVG
  3. Email Logo

    • Used in email notifications and invoices
    • Recommended size: 300x100 pixels
    • Format: PNG or JPG
  4. Invoice Logo (Optional)

    • Appears on printed and PDF invoices
    • Recommended size: 250x80 pixels
    • Format: PNG or JPG

Upload Instructions:

  1. Click Choose File next to each logo type
  2. Select your logo file from your computer
  3. Preview the uploaded logo to ensure it displays correctly
  4. Click Save to apply changes

Logo Guidelines

  • Use high-resolution images for professional appearance
  • PNG format with transparent background works best for most uses
  • Ensure logos are clearly visible on both light and dark backgrounds
  • Keep file sizes under 2MB for faster page loading

Add URLs to your company's policy documents. These links will be displayed in your customer portal and on customer-facing pages.

Policy URLs:

  1. Terms of Service

    • Full URL to your terms of service page
    • Example: https://yourcompany.com/terms-of-service
  2. Privacy Policy

    • Full URL to your privacy policy
    • Example: https://yourcompany.com/privacy-policy
  3. Storage Fee Policy

    • Full URL to your package storage and fee policy
    • Example: https://yourcompany.com/storage-policy
  4. Package Discard Policy

    • Full URL to your unclaimed package policy
    • Example: https://yourcompany.com/discard-policy

Don't Have Policies Yet?

If you don't have these policies in place yet, you can leave this section blank for now. You can always add them later when your policies are ready. However, we recommend creating these policies as soon as possible for legal compliance and transparency with your customers.


Step 4: Save Your Settings

After completing all sections:

  1. Review all entered information for accuracy
  2. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page
  3. Wait for the confirmation message: "Settings saved successfully"
  4. Your changes will take effect immediately

Verification Checklist

Before moving to the next setup steps, verify that you've completed:

  • [ ] Company information fully filled out
  • [ ] Business hours and service areas configured
  • [ ] All required logos uploaded and displaying correctly
  • [ ] Policy URLs added (or noted to add later)
  • [ ] Settings saved successfully

Common Issues & Solutions

Issue: Can't Access Settings Menu

Solution: Ensure you're logged in with admin credentials. Standard user accounts may not have access to Settings.

Issue: Logo Upload Fails

Solution:

  • Check that your file size is under 2MB
  • Ensure the file format is supported (PNG, JPG, SVG, or ICO)
  • Try a different browser if the issue persists

Issue: Changes Not Saving

Solution:

  • Ensure all required fields are completed
  • Check for error messages highlighting missing information
  • Try refreshing the page and re-entering information
  • Contact support if the issue continues
